Introduction to role:

The S/4HANA Data Quality and Analysis Specialist – Finance is responsible for supporting the delivery of data quality activities and remediation within the S/4 programme.

Aligned with the Finance organisation, this role supports the Data Quality and Analysis Lead by ensuring data readiness for S/4 HANA deployments, compliance with defined standards, and implementing a data quality framework for post-deployment use.

Typical Accountabilities:

• Drive the development and execution of the Finance S/4 Data Quality strategy and roadmap.
• Define and track data quality requirements, metrics, and reporting processes for S/4 data.
• Lead data profiling activities and provide clear business insights from profiling outputs.
• Partner with Data Design teams to analyse SAP ECC data and establish data standards.
• Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues and problem statements.
• Enhance data quality at source to ensure smooth S/4HANA migration.
• Support impact assessments, interim reporting, and deployment activities.
• Contribute to S/4 Cleanse and Migrate strategy and delivery plans.
• Scope and implement targeted data cleansing activities for migration readiness.
• Build a sustainable data quality framework for ongoing monitoring and remediation.
• Ensure alignment with S/4 Data Governance framework and drive governance strategy.
• Embed ongoing data quality (“keep clean”) measures into business-as-usual processes.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Deep expertise in data quality management, including rule creation, reporting, and end-to-end issue remediation.
• Hands-on experience with data profiling, discovery, root cause analysis, and automated data quality solutions.
• Proven success driving significant data quality improvements through profiling, cleansing, migration, and analysis.
• Strong track record managing complex, large-scale data quality projects.
• Demonstrated leadership across diverse, global, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to align stakeholders and drive results.
• Skilled negotiator adept at managing competing priorities to achieve business outcomes.
• Strong delivery focus, prioritization, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Solid knowledge of Master Data and Reference Data Management.
• Experienced in requirements gathering and business analysis.
• Working knowledge of SAP ECC modules.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Strong understanding of data architecture, analytics, modelling, policy assurance, quality assurance, and control testing.
• Experience with data management tools and S/4HANA implementation programmes.
• Background in life sciences or healthcare settings.
• Data Governance expertise and experience supporting Data Governance solutions.
• Deep knowledge of relevant business processes and SAP transactions/reporting.
• Understanding of data management concepts, including data lineage and definitions.
• Proven experience partnering with Business and IT for Data Governance initiatives.
